Prayer for Truth

Do you care about someone who has believed the false claims of Mormonism and you deeply yearn for him to know the TRUTH? Can his eyes be opened to the deception around him? Can he realize that he has been misled?

Scripture tells us that God's worshippers must worship Him in truth (John 4:24). You want your friend to know the truth--the Truth that sets him free! (John 8:32). Use this acronym to petition God for that lost soul: TRUTH.

O Lord God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth, please work in my beloved's life to:

T each him to love and accept Your Word.
I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Praise be to You, O Lord; teach me Your decrees.
      -Psalm 119:11-12

R escue him from destruction.
He rescues and He saves; He performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth.
      -Daniel 6:27

U se whatever means--Lord, use me--to call him to Christ.
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
      -2 Corinthians 5:20

T urn him from darkness to light and put him on the narrow path that leads to eternal life.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
      -Matthew 7:13-14

H ave mercy on his soul and open his eyes to Your Truth.
O Praise the Lord, all ye nations; praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us; and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.
      -Psalm 117

Remember, God's Word promises: "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). May your Mormon friend find the truth!

As you pray for those lost in Mormonism and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), our prayer for you is: "May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
